On a train to Eastbourne, I watched two people trying to put small, wheeled cases on the overhead luggage rack, but the cases didn’t fit. On the way back, my wife asked me to put her umbrella on the rack. That fitted all too well and was impossible to retrieve without my standing on the seat at Victoria, making a bathetic end to our day at the seaside.
